Paxton, Paxton, Paxton....I love him more than I could have ever imagined! I know a love, I never knew before...

Day 20

On Tuesday's and Thursday's I get to pick the girls up from school. Today they let me take some pictures...only a few though! I think when I asked if I could take some pictures they said, "oh, fine" but after I took maybe, two...they were done! :) More than I can usually get out of Pax though.

I've figured out Bokeh...I think!

"Bokeh" (derived from Japanese bokeaji ボケ味, "blur") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field. I cannot wait to get outside and try some using the sunlight!

Tara and Lacie...It was so nice to catch up while the kiddo's played. We need to meet up more often.

These photos were completely for me to practice my manual mode and focus. I think the batteries worked well...good thing we got a ton from Mom :)

Day 13- Tuesday 1/20/09

These are some pictures from our little-at-home-photo-shoot...I think they turned out pretty good for tacking a blanket to the wall and having Pax sit on my desk :) I told him there was a spider on the light so he kept looking for it, that is why he is so serious in one shot.

OH, where is it mom?

In this picture I practiced using a copyright. I've been told that when posting to blogs and websites, etc. you should always copyright your pictures...I mainly just wanted to see if I could figure out how to make one, it's a little work to get it on the picture every time, but I might keep working with them.

Here Paxton wanted to try on my hat. I've never seen the movie Twilight, but for some reason his expression reminds me of that movie (advertisements.)

Tonight we went to dinner at The South in Leavenworth with some friends. The food was amazing...if you've never been, and have the opportunity, GO!





We got there a little early so I took a few photos. I've been working with my manual settings, so that's what this picture is. I was focused on the sidewalk in the distance, but included was all the Christmas lights. Manual focus is proving to be difficult, but I'll get it!

DAY 1

Today we picked the girls up from school and headed to the park...we all enjoyed the warm weather...50 degrees. I'm sure it won't last...

I took this picture this morning...Paxton's learned how to blow bubbles with his spit and think's it's quite entertaining. I love how he know's he can do it by repeatedly saying, "mom."

365 day project

The project is simple...I'm aiming to take a picture (or more) everyday for an entire year, 365 days!

I'm hoping that through this experiance I'll become a better photographer.
